We have been denied food stamps because two people in our family work. I am 18 years old and I help my single mom raise two younger sisters. I help out as much as possible but after I pay the rent and utilities there is not much left for food. There are many times we struggle and have to count out our change to buy milk for my sisters. We would not survive without the food we get from IFC.
